In this article, we will explain about 5G technology. what is 5G, who invented 5G, how 5G works, how it’s changing the world, the difference between the previous generation and the new generation, how 5G is better than 4G, and much more…
What is 5G?
5G is the 5th generation of the mobile network and its wireless technology. It is the newest standard after the 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. 5G launches a new type of network in which all the things like machines, devices, and objects are virtually connected with each other in one place.
5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, more reliability, massive network capacity, ultra-low latency, and increased availability. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connect new industries.
Who invented 5G?
No one person or company owns the 5G, but there are some companies that depend on the mobile ecosystem and these companies contribute a lot to bringing the life of 5G like Samsung, Huawei, LG, Ericsson, Qualcomm, etc…
On April 3, 2019, South Korea was the first country who adopt the 5G.
How Does 5G Work?
Wireless communication systems use radio frequencies (also known as a spectrum) to transfer and carry information through the air.
5G is also working in the same way, but it’s used very high radio frequencies, it’s allowed to carry a many and many information at a very faster rate. These types of Bands are called millimeter waves (mmwaves).
When larger bands are pickings the information very fastly, then there will be a problem that occurs with sending this data at a large distance, because there are many hurdles ( trees and buildings, etc… ) that occur during the transfer of the data. So, to avoid the situation, 5G utilizes by own multiple input and output antenna 📡 to speed up the signals and also capacity across the wireless networks.
This technology can also be used as a smaller transmitter. Currently, it’s estimated that 5G can support more than 1000 devices per meter rather than 4G.
Difference b/w previous generations and 5G:
The previous generations of mobile networks are 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G.
First Generation ( 1G )
Invented in 1980s and delivered only analog voice.
Second Generation ( 2G )
Invented in early 1990s and it introduced digital voice (CDMA)
Third Generation ( 3G )
Invented in early 2000s and it brought the mobile data (CDMA2000)
Fourth Generation ( 4G )
Invented in 2010s and 4G LTE can be use in the area of the mobile broadnband.
Fifth Generation ( 5G )
5G is a unified generation of mobile networks and it very capable to work in the air interferance. It has been designed with an extended capacity to enable next-generation user experiences, empower new deployment models and deliver new services.
With high speeds, superior reliability and negligible latency, 5G will expand the mobile ecosystem into new realms. 5G will impact every industry, making safer transportation, remote healthcare, precision agriculture, digitized logistics — and more — a reality.
How 5G is better than 4G?
There are many reasons that 5G will be better than 4G.
- 5G is very faster than 4G
- 5G has more capacity than 4G
- 5G has lower latency rather than 4G
- 5G is unified platform that is much capable than 4G
- 5G use the spectrum very better than 4G
- 5G can be used for car-to-car communications
- 5G craeted for smart factories, holographic tech, remote healthcare
- and more…
So, in this article we learn some how about the 5G. 5G is really super fast rather than 4G.
